Katie Wold Organizing began long before it became a business.

I’ve always been someone who feels deeply affected by my surroundings. Most mornings begin with coffee and a few quiet minutes to feel grounded — reading, meditating, or simply starting the day slowly. In the evenings, I try to reset my spaces by straightening up and preparing for the next day. Those small rhythms help my mornings feel calmer and less hectic, and they’ve reinforced something I’ve come to believe deeply: our homes can either support us or add to our stress.

Over time, I realized that organizing wasn’t just something I was good at — it was something that genuinely helped people feel better in their homes and in their lives.

What started as helping friends and family quickly grew into something more. I saw how thoughtful organization could reduce stress, simplify routines, and bring a sense of peace back into everyday life. Eventually, I knew this was work I wanted to do in a bigger way — and Katie Wold Organizing. was born.

Today, I work with clients during meaningful life transitions — moving into new homes, downsizing, starting fresh, or simply wanting their spaces to function better. These moments often come with a mix of excitement and overwhelm, and it’s an honor to help create systems that make home feel supportive again.

This blog is an extension of that work.

Here, you’ll find practical organizing ideas, simple systems, encouragement for wherever you’re starting, and small changes that can make a big difference over time. My approach to organizing is gentle, realistic, and focused on creating spaces that feel peaceful — not perfect.

Because organization isn’t really about containers or labels. It’s about creating room to live well.

If you’re ready to create a home that feels calmer and easier to live in, you’re in the right place. Take a look around the blog, start with one small project, and remember — progress matters more than perfection.

I’m so glad you’re here.

— Katie
